Home is where the heart is

Once again, it is one of those times of the year to start realising "oh shit, I'm leaving HK in a week" and yeah indeed, oh shit. Moving back and forth between HK and Toronto for the past year and a half has just continually reinforced in how much more comfortable I am in Hong Kong than I am in Toronto... Today talking to Vivian and Yvonne, I'm not sure who mentioned this but maybe it is the fact that I still have really strong ties to HK that I am less comfortable with being in Toronto, and am less willing to give my Hong Kong self up for a Toronto me...ergo... housing conflict.

But I figure by the end of this school year I'll be able to tell myself that all this moving back and forth is half over, and in whichever city my life ends up it'll be a little more permanant than a four month stretch. Or maybe not, who knows, maybe I'll just end up drifiting for the rest of my life... in fact that's probably what will happen...

It's funny watching all of the older international school kids coming back to live in HK, lol I guess the city's bright-as-fuck lights really do shine on to us. Speaking of lights, less christmas lights up this christmas... Sad but, environmental concern? In this city? Are we on to something new? Hah looks like the devil has turned his back for a while, lets see how long it lasts... I bet as long as this recession lasts. Any bets of how long it will draw into the new year?

This is the year I turn 20, how fucked up is that? 20 is OLD. Fuck shit bitch.

Full circles... that's a way to sum up the past year: losing some, gaining some; making some harsh realizations, but most definetely growing through it all. I'm done with being in co-op, and I'm pretty sure am more comfortable and content with who I am in Toronto compared to a year ago... lets hope this trend continues... progress good, backtracking bad.

Typhoons rotate clockwise in the Southern hemisphere, whereas in the Northern hemisphere they rotate anticlockwise. This explains why Southern Taiwan was hit more heavily by Typhoon Morakot in August of 2009, receiving more that 2600mm of rain.

hope that information is retained! hehe

typos suck.

ahahahah that made me laugh pretty damn hard. =] But why does it explain why taiwan was heavily hit?

haha shit I missed that out. Because came from the East, and it hit the middle of Taiwan. When the typhoon rotates it rotates clockwise, so the area hit by direct wind and rainfall was the south.. haha, something like that
